Scarborough Fine Arts and Worthing Auction Galleries, two highly regarded and respected firms of Sussex based Auctioneers and Valuers merged together in a joint venture in the summer of 2007.

Owners Andrew Scarborough and Nick Hall have both built up strong reputations for running forward thinking companies with traditional values and the merger brings together both the companies skills, strengths and established contacts throughout East and West Sussex.

Andrew and Nick have built up enviable reputations for their professional approach to business to their private clients, to the buyers and to the legal and other professional bodies throughout Sussex, the South East and London that they deal with on a regular basis.

Andrew and Nick are backed up by a dedicated and loyal team of staff members who have been with them for many years and provide a high level of service to meet the client’s needs.

Andrew Scarborough

Andrew has nearly 30 years experience within the auction house industry and as such he has built up a formidable knowledge within all areas of antiques, fine art, collectors items and designs of the 20th Century.

Andrew gained valuable experience early on in his career at Christie’s and went on to take senior roles within various regional auctioneers before setting up his own company Scarborough Fine Arts.

Andrew is a local family man.

Nick Hall (A.N.A.V.A.)

Nick has over 20 years experience in the auction world and is a member of The National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) which guarantees that he is a qualified and regulated expert bound by strict codes of conduct and practice. Nick also regularly appears on the BBC as an expert on Flog It.

Nick is a seasoned expert and valuer who is able to assess antiques, collectors items and fine art from all periods as well as having an excellent knowledge of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and 20th Century design, as well as modern collectables. Nick spends a lot of his time out on appointments with private clients and professional bodies. Nick lives in Worthing and is married with three sons.

Scarborough Fine Arts and Worthing Auction Galleries are open from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, closing for lunch from 1.00pm to 2.15pm.

We hold a two day antiques, fine art, collectors items and 20th Century design sale every 6 weeks followed the following week by a general sale.

Payment is accepted by cash, cheque, debit and credit cards.
